I've got one of those nylon forend straps sitting on my desk, but now I'm contemplating a handguard plate (see link below) to use as a hand stop in lieu of the strap. I thought the strap might tend to get in the way more than the stop, yet the handguard plate would serve the same purpose (keeping the hand on the forend from sliding forward near the muzzle. Anybody have any ideas? Remington Handguard 870 FBI Matte

So I can't find my 3rd test can but...

    Plasti-dip:
    -easiest to spray on
    -smoothest finish
-still felt like a rubberized coating
-multiple thin coats was the easiest to peel off

    Rust-oleum Leak Seal:
    -the worst finish
    -grainy
-flecked off in little peices, wouldn't peel
