It took about 10 weeks for my lifetime to get here. I started to think it got lost in the mail.

i got my lifetime back in 4 1/2 weeks

Popeye- it's $10 processing for the sheriffs department and $40 money order to the state

I was wondering if anyone knew the actual wait time it is taking to get your permit back I know they tell you 8 weeks but everyone I talk to is saying less so I was wondering if anyone knew or knows of a number you could call to find out the status of your permit thanks.

When I got mine in a few years back, it took 6 weeks. When I renewed it last year to get the lifetime permit, it took 2 weeks. And that was in Marion County!

I have had an Indiana LTC since 1970, the fastest was same week, mailed on Monday, and received on Friday, the slowest was my lifetime a couple of years ago, 7 weeks.

Likely depends on their manning and demand.

All in all the people working there are all good people.

I sent my 4 year renewal app. off on Feb 2 and got it about 10 weeks later. I called the state police at 8 weeks and they told me turnaround time was 8-9 weeks.
