    In the trees
    If you are the type of person who has a running commentary going on in their head all the time, you might exhibit the phenomena you describe. You must have a quiet mind to shoot well.

    Ya, I have this going on.


    Alan, go shoot some paper targets, it will tell you a lot about what's going on. Did you see my review of Red Star ammo? If you compare the four targets I seem to have a trend of 2 fliers and five in a good group. I know I'm losing concentration and I have no muscle memory for this discipline like I do with a rifle.

    Practice, practice, practice.

    The Seven Seas
    Get a tall sheet of cardboard (a foot or so taller than the tree, if you can) or multiple sheets so you go over the tree. Draw the exact plates on the cardboard, attach it to the tree and you'll be able to tell how bad you're missing,
