    Yep we have that alot around here, and the next tree over has poison oak.

    Problem is I can't seem to stop it from coming back. Any thoughts on killing it without harming the trees?
    Cut it about chest high and paint the cut end with Triclopyr. A week later, cut another foot off the "stump" and paint it again.

    Be careful not to get any of the triclopyr in the damaged bark of the tree where you cut the vine.
