    That would nice if threads like this one would stay on topic so the noobs can find answer to there question they may have. I guess that's not the INGO way with with some.

    But the answer to the OP was given long ago. Taking the discussion in a different direction is just the normal evolution of a conversation. How many times do we need to answer one question?

    I guess we just see it differently. I maybe the minority on this.

    People receive wrong information from LEO, and NON-LEO. That's why you need to check the law, regardless.

    But.
    People usually go to police officers as being the "authority" on gun laws. Being a police officer adds weight to what you say about gun laws.

    That is why people say (or at least I do), "check the law yourself", when someone tells me a "police officer told me".

    I was told that it is ILLEGAL to carry a gun off your property, unless unloaded and boxed. EVEN with a LTCH.
    The police officer informed me that the LTCH was so that you could OWN the gun at your house ONLY.

    I have heard wrong statements from INGOers also.

    THAT'S WHY I VERIFY.
