I'm a firm believer in "what goes around, comes around". The :poop:bag that shot the guy will get his due. Hopefully real soon.

Yup yup. I live right by Little Flower and left for work about 6:15 this morning. Was wondering why I kept hearing a helicopter when my alarm was going off. Had quite a few squad cars going up and down the streets with spot lights. Girlfriend looked it up on indy911 and text me what happened. They had officers down the street from McDonalds walking around searching as well.

I am no longer surprised at these things. I will not allow my wife to get money from an ATM unless she is escorted. No cash purchases for A$$ bag PO:poop: to see she has cash.
These butt heads roam the streets at will and do what ever they want to whom ever is un-lucky enough to cross paths with them.

Buddy of mine pulled up to a drive thru ATM last fall, as he was keying in his info a couple of thugs approached the car at a fast walk. My buddy laid his Colt Python up on the dash in plain sight and said bad guys reversed direction at an even faster pace!:rockwoot:

The PNC bank isn't in the best location. Since they shut the Krogers down west of Sherman we get a lot of not so great people in that area. I won't let my family go near Linwood Square after dark alone.

Nice to see some INGO members living in the neighborhood. I live over in Emerson Heights area. I frequent that ATM at that PNC bank weekly. The Ghetto Kroger as I call it is a mess. I go in there if I need 1 or 2 things from the store. 9 out of 10 times I go there I get solicited by someone in the parking lot. Wanting to know if I want to buy drugs or their foodstamps. My friend is one of the Asset Protection guys there. They arrest atleast 1 person a day for stealing there.

Yeah, I will go out of my way to go to the Krogers on Shortridge instead of spending money at Linwood Square. I only go there when I'm in the middle of cooking and realize I forgot something. Ha

This is the second time in a couple of years that I've read about ATM robberies being a "shoot first" robbery. The first one I read about took place futher north in Indy-the guy was shot in the butt, then robbed.

Absolutely nothing amazes me anymore when it comes to crime , it is slowly becoming what can you do before the sun goes down . I am glad to read the person is ok and i hope the worthless piece of SH$%...gets whats coming to him sooner then later.

I did almost the very same thing in Houston, TX a few years back. Laid a full sized 1911 up on the dash. Did my business and drove away. Kind of chuckled to myself later. "I don't have time for this nonsense". I think the would-be thugs were just sizing up folks as they drove up.. Bad side of Houston southside...Bellaire area for those that are familiar.

It wasn't a shoot first robbery, there was a language barrier that the robber decided to overcome with a pistol.

I'm really surprised that this doesn't happen more often. I see so many people who never pay attention to what's going on around them at the ATM. It also seems it would be easier/more money than robbing the pizza delivery guy.
