I just can't believe it. I met Paul only a few months ago through some good friends. I'm just shocked! I just watched some of his videos on Saturday. He was so well known in the shooting community "underground". To me, he was one of the big names in the training industry. He is going to be very missed. Paul truly was a great person. My condolences to his family. I consider it a huge honor to call him a friend. I'm just so shocked!
Shay I'm very sorry to hear this. To me he was someone I had hoped to one day train with, but to you he was a friend. He was too young, too strong.
To those of you NOT already familiar with Paul's contributions here on INGO, I would encourage you to visit these links and learn what Paul has to offer.
INGO really isn't just a gun forum, or a classified opportunity (with 50 posts, of course), but it's the people behind the avatar who share their knowledge, wisdom, life, etc. that makes this place what it is.
Thanks for making this a better place, Paul Gomez.
I had opportunity to trade some emails with Paul this past year - he was a GREAT trainer and someone I will always regret not spending time on the range with.
This is a terrible loss to the training community. I had only met him a few times. Was able to train with him at Tactical Response. His knowledge was very impressive. More importantly, though, He was an innovator. He came up with his own methods, tested them, improved them.
This is a bummer. I was supposed to to take his RPM class on the 23-24th in Bluffton.
I too greatly enjoyed reading his posts and watching his videos (usually multiple times!) and tried to absorb as much of his knowledge as I could. I too had hoped to train with him one day.
This is a sad day for the world and the hobby.
Prayers and best wishes to his family, friends, and all those affected by his passing. Soldier on, Paul.
This is as shocking as it is sad. I will miss him.
The first time I met him, I had to admit that somehow I'd confused him with Steve Moses. Anyone who has met them both would realize that's a ridiculous mistake (but I specialize in the ridiculous). I liked to tease him about it every time I saw him or when I saw one of his messages for the first time somewhere.
I'm completely stunned right now. I've watched his videos hundreds of times and emailed him a few times. Very nice, straight to the point guy. We just took a big hit in the shooting community IMO. R.I.P. Mr. Gomez.
Moderators: can we make a sticky with all of his training in homage of this awesome man? It would be a shame to let all his valuable insights get buried with him on INGO.
