I never had the guts to paint a firearm until I bought my M&P .22 AR pattern rifle. Since it’s purely a fun range gun, I thought what the heck.

For my first paint job, I was happy with it.

What are the thoughts on painted guns?
What different patterns/techniques have people used? I was to anxious paint one of my ARs or AK so I painted a Bubba SKS I had.
