P226 Elite fit into regular P226 holster?

I did a quick google search and couldn't get a concrete answer. I have a stainless P226 as my carry gun at the moment and have been entertaining myself with the thought of getting the stainless elite. It's a big deal to me that it fits into my holster as I don't want to have to get new accessories and waste money if I don't need to. Thanks.

Ya, it will fit. The only thing that really changes (in a big way) is the addition of a beavertail to the end.

All the above info is correct unless your current 226 does not have a rail and the Elite your wanting does.

A Non-railed 226 will fit in holsters made for railed 226R but railed 226Rs will not fit in a holster for a non-railed 226.

Are there non-railed elites? All the ones I have seen have had rails.

Im pretty sure all new Sigs have rails with the exception of the SAS series of guns. Of which there is not an Elite model.

There may be older Elites that do not have ralis but I dont know for sure.

Tell me about it. Personally I am sick of the manfactuers sticking those ugly freaking rails all over everything.

I like a clean looking gun though and the only weapon that I keep a light on is my nightstand gun.

Which BTW is my P226.
