    Read the article it's a VERY GOOD read.
    I bumped only cause I had to print the article out to show one of my co-workers. It had been on my mind for a while now after a talk we had 2 weeks ago. Took me a while to find the thread. :)

    Good bump pinky :rockwoot:

    Edit to my above post. After some checking around, it seems that I was operating on old information. Captain Parker's musket had a trigger lock on it, but that was several years back and it reportedly does not now. I still have feelers out to get a picture of it.

    BTW, the law in MA was changed to exclude from the trigger lock requirement anything made before 1898 or so, otherwise, the lock would still be there.

    </sigh>

    I just read at the original link w/ no issues.

    Sounds like y'all would enjoy the "wayback machine"...

    Internet Archive: Digital Library of Free Books, Movies, Music & Wayback Machine

    It's not the whole web since 1996, but it holds an amazingly large portion of the crawlable web since that time. It can be fun to check out what Microsoft.com looked like in the early days...high school kids crank out better web pages these days :):

    A gun lock on this rifle does not surprise me. Having the lock removed does not do enough, IMO. Remember Massachusetts is not a gun friendly State.

    I think it is a National shame that such a prominent State in our Freedom from England should end up on the side of the destroyers of our Freedoms. Shame on you Massachusetts, shame on you and your people who have allowed this to happen. Shame on all of you.

    I hope I've made my point.
