I heard the reason for the shortage was that Churchmouse was buying all of them.....:):

Up here in NWI all of our region's LGS's appear to be fully stocked with Glocks. I've had absolutely zero problem finding anything new. There does on the other hand appear to be a shortage of used Glocks up here... just not seeing too many of those. I looked for awhile for a good deal on a USED Glock 19. Everyone one literally wanted almost full price... SO, I went ahead and bought new. To heck with all that!

Used Glocks do hold their value, but you have to also take sales tax and extras into consideration.

I just bought a like new gen 4 with Trijicon night sights for $500 dollars. New is $539, plus tax, plus around a hundred to eliminate the plastic factory sights.

It's obvious. Glocks are so inferior to the other brands/designs that they have begun downsizing just to keep the doors open. Their scarcity is a direct result of reduced production.

I stopped at the local Rualking today. I asked why they had very few Glock models. I have not seen a 17 or 19 in quite sometime. The guy behind the counter said they could not get any in and they were still carring them. Is the Glock 17 and 19 demand out pacing the supply?

Point blank sent out an email saying they had glock 19 in stock and listed a decent number ranging from 37-100+

I've got one I'll sell you for $150 over retail since their seems to be a shortage.

Oh wait, that's standard price for classifieds.
