I really really really really really want an M1 Garand........ all I can afford right now is a Mosin! ;)

    :+1:

They're not out of the realm of possibility, but I just can't spend that kind of money on a rifle right now.

I'd love a Carbine, Garand, Springfield 1903, or any combination of the above.

We have a WWII Akriska in the attic gathering dust. Never have fired it. In addition we have a WWI Gewehr 98 and Matching bayonet. Both, the M98 and bayonet were brought home by my great grandfather from the war. We've never fired it, but I love to go up and marval at its history.

My girlfriend's family has an old 1903 I've been told about that I'd love to play with sometime.

For all of the love Mauser's get this site seems to lack some. My old guns:

    1941 Arisaka T99
    AR41 K98
    K98 Yugo (actually still a K98, not a M48)
    Mosin M44

and the baby and grandad at the same time

1915 DWM excellent, matching GEW 98

My Dad still had his 03 Springfield when he died (WW 2 Vet, Pacific Theatre). My dead beat brother ended up selling his half of all the guns without giving me the chance to buy them. That was one of the guns he sold. Really pissed me off. He even had his stash of armor piercing ammo that he had. So I have always toyed with the idea of trying to get one similar to have but it wouldn't be the same.

    A Swiss K31 AND a Schmidt-Rubin 1889! The 1889 was hard to find.

    I've got a Swede m/96 too, just not a pic. :(
