    Up from my nap. Trying to psych myself up to go pick up the dog poop and mow. I'd put it off to tomorrow, but with Susan's dad's birthday party, I don't want to take the chance that the grass won't be dry enough early enough in the morning.

    Grandson called and wants to go shoot. He calls them pews, he is only 4, I just don't feel he is ready yet.
    My age for teaching is 6/7.
    First step.
    I let them beat on a watermelon, generally they don't do any damage. Then I take them to the range....stand them far back, and let them witness the destruction!
    My kids and grandkids each get a single shot 22 from us at age 7....that's what we teach them to handle, load, fire before any thing else
