This package of Kroger thick sliced bacon started out good. Nice uniform slices, didn't curl up. Now all of a sudden I seem to have hit a vein of crappy slices. They shrank and curled up, and are "tough" so when I take a bite of the sandwich the whole piece of bacon wants to come out.

Yesterday, returned from picking up Daughter from work, we could hear a cat crying for attention.
We gave it some petting and it is a really gentle, trusting, well kept and sweet girl. Good size girl, maybe 20lbs, easily twice the size of our dog.
Hard to imagine she's anything but a pampered house pet.

We went in, let her roam, but she didn't. She stayed here and wimpered at our windows half the night.
So now we have a cat, it seems.
    It can't happen!
If she has not gone home by Monday morning, I'm calling animal control. Maybe HOA?

I hate to be that jerk, but she can't stay and she will become a nuisance. Already is.
I don't feel right to just take out someone's sweetheart companion.

I hope she makes it back home!

You might post on Nextdoor to see if someone is looking for their kitty.
    Good luck !

I think I'm having a change of plans for today. My knees are feeling bruised from the last 2 days of weeding, so I think maybe I'll concentrate on indoor stuff today instead, and give them a rest. I've got tomorrow off, so I can go back to weeding then.
