    It's been an eventful weekend here. Not for us personally, but for the community. There was a home invasion a couple miles from our house. Two people cut the power to the house and broke in and beat the couple nearly to death in their bed. Both have brain bleeds. The wife is critical.

    I think by today just about all our schools are back in session. I've never understood why there's not a fixed statewide schedule for all schools to start and end.
    Our little Christian School that had a kitchen fire during a Sunday service two weeks ago started on Aug. 1 for staff.
    Full start for students is today.
