Chilln with the hummys, beautiful morning out today.
Do you buy your feeder nectar or make your own from a recipe you like?

I'm about to grab some shelf stock from TSC to replenish, but I'm curious if some of these expensive, upper crust products are actually better.

Bummer. Harbor Freight had a coupon for a free gift this past weekend (no purchase necessary) and one of them was for a 100 pack of cable ties.
Did you grab the gardening gloves you wanted?

I have to drive into Castleton for a Harbor Freight walk in.
    Kind of hard to justify!

I did. If I had to go to Castleton, they'd have to be giving away something a lot more valuable to entice me in! :): My HF is only 5 minutes away.
    Awesome.
There is one in Anderson, only a little farther for me.
But, much easier in and out, besides it's a much more sceninc drive heading that direction.
Need to look into that for the next hand out they offer.

Actually the red pigment can harm them as they can't properly process it. I make my own and it's cheaper. 1 cup of sugar to 1 quart of water. I make it with hot water from the faucet. Let it sit til the froth disappears or it will go bad very quick, making it milky.

    Thanks.

That's basically the same thing my mom used to do ages ago.

I was afraid I would be missing some essential nutrients they were looking to find, if I did that.
    You've converted me.
