i had just changed to a new PCP this past fall. Then I got notice a month or two ago that he was quitting. Just a young guy. Another in that office agreed to take me on. But he is an old guy. I hope I don't have to replace him in a couple of years.I have the worst luck with doctors!
Two have left for California, one took off to Carolina somewhere, now my best doc for four years just sent me a nice letter advising me of her retirement.
Good for you, Doc!
I'm going to fade into the nap zone and see how much of this goes away on its own.
Mine left me with several names in her "conglomerate" office who are still taking new patients.i had just changed to a new PCP this past fall. I "can" start fires without accelerants, but I typically use some charcoal lighter fluid, or as I like to call it, "Boy Scout Juice".I'm hiding my quick, easy fire starter wafer thingies.

Next few firepit episodes will begin with some lessons for each of them.
Not so much for Daughter, since her outdoorsy interest is gardening and her bike. Son, we "covered all this" when I thought he was going to stick with Boy Scouts.
Daughter has not been receptive to this stuff much, but Son, I thought got it the first few times. Proven wrong when I saw him slapping the diamond sharpening utensil to the stick and getting one or two sparks.
I took him into the kitchen, tore a piece off the grocery list, set that in a bowl and started a fire with his gear, while he watched.
Shameful, barely adequate Daddy has some work to do.
I honestly thought he had all this and her time would come in her time.
They both need to know how to start a fire a few more ways than simply with accelerants.
Sure, and I use the little wafers for food fires.I "can" start fires without accelerants, but I typically use some charcoal lighter fluid, or as I like to call it, "Boy Scout Juice".
