I was in international logistics so a normal morning was a bombardment of emails. I was always amazed how many 2nd and 3rd requests I would get from overseas partners as if I was online overnight. They would actually add my director in copy as well to escalate.

People can be idiots. I know last time I was off, I had a greetin on my phone saying I was off and who to call. I had same out of office on my email. The person called on Monday, left msg, called Tuesday, left message. Then started sending ****** emails. **** people.

I remember my uncle saved up a year's worth of paid vacation wherever he worked. Took the entire year before his retirement off. But that was years ago. I don't think companies do things like that any more.
