I think I have a theory as to why they couldn't get any water to the shower yesterday. They were only trying the center valve (the "mixing" valve), but it looks to me like there are two other valves (one for hot, one for cold) that probably need to be opened up. I'm going to tell the guy when he gets here this morning to finish up.
