I don't know if anyone remembers Hot Sam's Pretzels, but the Mrs. just made something that sent me back.

I remember seeing them, but never went there. My childhood best friend's grandmother (from Germany) made the best soft pretzels when we were kids! But back then, nacho cheese sauce wasn't a thing, so I didn't get to fully appreciate them.

Oddly enough, I never had a soft pretzel, until I was about 17, when I met the Mrs.
We were at the mall and she asked if we could get a pretzel. I pictured it being this hard pretzel like in the bags.
After trying one, we always got them when we were at the mall. No one ever compared to Hot Sam's.

You never had an old German woman make you one. And she was legit. Her husband (my friend's grandpa) actually fought FOR Germany in WW1. He was a neat old guy. Master carpenter/woodworker, drank his Pabst room temperature.
