OSUT#249 - What's Cooking at Your House??

It's been sunny all day here. Cool and breezy. I changed out the camera cards, picked a peck of apples, refilled the water tank for the deer and did a few other odds and ends outside. I made a recipe last night using the chicken breast so I carved up the rest of the chicken and have it slow cooking for tonight. Have some pork chops in marinade for later. The last chops I got were cut weird at the butcher so I've been cutting them up, putting in marinade and using for kabobs or stir fries.

We had grilled ham and cheese for lunch.

Wind is finally starting to let up. It was pretty windy walking around the fall festival. Especially when walking near the "straw fort" and the petting zoo with all the straw and bedding blowing around.

Was pretty gusty here too. I have spraying to do and a rifle to sight in. Couldn't do either.

I hate mowing in the wind but I did it anyway. Hair was full of debris when I came in!

I was going to do it, but then Susan brought up the fall festival and that sounded like more fun. I've got a mulching deck on the mower so no debris to speak of when I mow.

We must have a walnut tree or trees somewhere nearby because the squirrels keep planting them in the flowerbeds here. I know the squirrels and chipmunks have both been busy planting oak trees (acorns).
