You remember a tube called the corkscrew? It was fun back then when I was young and skinny!
I don't remember that one. I remember "the back breaker" at Sullivan. It was probably about a quarter mile long and you couldn't stand all the way up. It was probably 4' tall. I also remember a passage in to the Mountain Room where you had to push your hard hat and light in front of you, but then it opened up into a room that was probably 40 or 50 feet tall. You remember a tube called the corkscrew?
It was kinda weird to contort yourself to twist through. Luckily the wet clay assisted with getting through it.
That room was awesome. As part of the gear, we would bring a pouch of candles and light that room up so we could turn off the lamps.I don't remember that one. I remember a crevice tunnel that followed the creek down to the waterfall. Did that one several times which took about 2 hours to get down to.
I look back at those times today and think man that could have gone so wrong. We simply had no fear back then.
