I didn't realize "Midnight Special" was such a rabbit hole.
Amazing what changing the speed of the song, or the voice singing it can make a song almost unrecognizable.
I was listening to the Johnny Rivers version, and it took me awhile to figure out what it was. It sounded familiar, but so different.























I thought CCR sounded like they took inspiration from the Led Belly version.

However, when the Pointer Sisters did "Slow Hand", it was suggestive.

When Conway Twitty covered it, it was just dirty.
