Opinions on XDM .40?

I'm a little curious when and how did you hear that the xdm 45 version is coming out. Spring, summer, or fall?

I'm not ready to drink the 9mm Kool-aid yet. This gives me hope that Springfield will come come out with a xdm 45 soon. Thanks

It was reported at the 2010 SHOT Show. I can't find an offical link but if you google 2010 SHOT Show reports you will find they announced it there. It simply says slated for release in 2010.

I have an XDm 9mm and love it for competition and range shooting. It is a big gun to try to carry. In my opinion the 3.8 is no better for carry as the grip frame is what is hard to conceal.

The barrel length kept me from getting an XDm, for a carry gun I do not want anything over a 4" barrel. So for us Xd guys, who like the service model, it fits what we want. I can conceal a full size gun no problem!
