    i played with a cheap 1911 for a little while. not a Llama but a citidel, which is a made by same group as Rock Island, just not a fanciful. It was fun cause it was cheap. i didnt worry about it. It shot more acurately than my sig tacops... haha. It did have some mag sticking issues. Very minor. i would Not carry or rely on the gun.

    In the end i sold the citadel for more than i bought it for. And then i sold the sig tacops :)

    I had one of those a long time ago, decent gun for the money. But standard 1911 parts will not fit, spend a little more and get a true 1911 pattern pistol.

    Any thoughts on this 1911? I'd really like to get into the club, but I keep getting dirty looks from the SO when I mention the higher price some of the gems of my eye carry. Does anyone have experience with the Llama, or should I just save and "surprise" her with the new Colt in a few months? haha

    A RI, Ruger or other entry level 1911 would be better in resale and reliability

    ....was in a a rural King over the weekend and they have the Remington 1911 on sale and after rebate is $499.....just a heads up...

    Doh, already mentioned, my bad, but yah...
