I can't tell from your pics, is the front sight dovetailed? I have a compact that came with the tactical trappings, but has milspec sights. It shoots fine.

Yes, it's dovetailed. I believe it is a novak cut but don't quote me on that. I'm quite happy with mine now, but the experience of my first handgun having to go back to the mothership wasn't ideal.

Bradis carries them. MCSports as well. I got my last one at the Indy1500, they aren't hard to find.

Ron Carter, ex Carmel IN police officer, now sells RIA as a distributor and swears by them. my experience is that they are a good value and solid shooters.

K S & E on Pendleton Pike near Post has them in stock and very cheap, $359. I was there the other day, handled one, loved it, and somehow managed to walk out without it. If you were going to customize it, you would probably save money by just spending the $500 to get a Taurus with the sights and grips (also cheap at KS&E).
