The people watching is great from the vendor-side of the 1500.

Yay! I reworked my schedule so I can drive up Friday afternoon. That makes it a lot more enjoyable than leaving at 5:00 a.m. the day of. Have enough reward points to make a hotel room cheap. So it's a relaxing dinner in Carmel Friday night with crop-dusting the aisles on Saturday.

There are many things to learn working the booth at the 1500. There are subtle differences between the extras from The Walking Dead and the cast of The Hills Have Eyes. Spotting the guy who REALLY doesn't fit in at a gun show is easy if he is wearing a bow tie. Working Sunday PM you'll get a chance to play "Spot the straw-purchasers" and "Identify the bulk ammo wheeler-dealer".

Just curious, anyone have any idea about the speed and quality of the advertised gunsmithing at this show? What kind of things do they do? Do they do it on site or have to ship it back to you after they mess it ——er, fix it for you?

Are there any good smiths there? Any recommendations or cautions?

I have a couple Marlins that could benefit from a little TLC so they work as smooth as the Henry's about which I hear everyone bragging.

The exposition center is on the south west part of the fairgrounds. If you're coming in from the west on 38th St., it's the first building you see.

It's up it's good! The Ingo booth is nearly dead center of the building. Props to Robby MacQ Who came through with the two sided INGO booth sign.

No knife purchase yet, but Brad was just over here.

After coming in the entrance, look ahead and slightly right for the CONCEALED CARRY HOLSTERS sign. We are just to the right.
