You'll need to try several types of ammo to see what it likes. 10/22s can be picky. Some will shoot bulk cheapy stuff fairly well, some have more expensive tastes. Remember it's a mass-produced semi-auto .22lr and don't ask too much of it and you'll have a good time.

The 10/22 platform has a tendency to become very addictive as DRob said. I have accumilated 30 firearms that use that magazine. Not counting the various parts and accessories.
