Colt 6945 had it cerakoted and it's still in jail. I've held it for almost 3 minutes(supervised visitation only). I have a stainless QD phantom that should be here in November, and the gun should be home around February. That's about it. I just wait and stare at the picture!:(

Cool! What color is that? Who did the coating for you?

It's FDE, and was done by Chris at Knesek Guns.

The form 3 took a long time so I decided to have it cerakoted during the wait. Not really sure what I think of it yet, but with the black furniture, it doesn't seem so bright. With rail covers and the can on the front I think it will work out. I've got six months for it to grow on me!

    That is not ugly!
    - The rivets on the side are flat not rounded.
    - The Trunnion has wear / depressions
    - Been running a trunnion protector and no more wear
    - Next million or two rounds will need a rebuild

Thus since runs great no rush to put in the nearly new chromed trunnion and send out for a rebuild and another set of rivets some winter (or summer if was in the south west ;-), but in the long term plans for the LLC (i.e. maybe not in my lifetime ;-)

I know, I know, horrible pics and the ones upside down, but its the best I could figure out. Either way, I think its not too shabby for a 23 year old. :D
