    However, campus police can escort you off the property and issue a trespass warning preventing you from entry back onto campus property (and can arrest you if you violate it).

    What property am I trespassing on that I can be "trespassed?" You mean the public streets and sidewalks or the publicly funded buildings? Since it's not illegal to carry on campus, what law am I violating that gives the police the authority to do anything but ask me for my LTCH and leave me alone after that?

    University or college "rules", "guidelines", "policies", or "requests" don't affect non-students or non-employees, and are not laws.

    I go to IU and I am a member of that group. We are going to work really hard to get the Admins to allow carry on campus. I personally feel that they should still have the right to deny students to have them in dorm rooms, the same way a business can deny you service if you have a weapon, but expelling you for exercising your right as an adult? Unacceptable.

    You are not breaking any laws by carrying. However they can ask you to leave just like any business or property owner can. Public funding doesn't enter into the equation.
