Actually, the original bill had a bailout for them in order to keep them in. The Republicans closed the risk corridors to make the insurance companies have to stay fiscally solvent on their own, then they prevented HHS from bailing out the insurance companies from its budget as well. But hey, the Republicans have done nothing to take down Obamacare.

Well a big reason the republicans were elected was to take down Obamacare so....

Obviously the system couldn't work if the government has to bail out the insurance co.panies every year, we don't have the money for that. The IC's need to keep themselves afloat, and with the feds mandates, they can't without raising premiums.

Something needed to be done but the government forcing mandates wasn't it. They should have focused on why medical stuff is so unaffordable.

My premiums already went up and I don't have obiecare.

This. My best plan option saw co-pays completely disappear until the deductible is met. Saw the deductible increase from $1250 to $4500. The prescription plan is also 100% out of pocket until the deductible is met. And to top it all off? The rate increases over the past two years has nearly doubled the cost of my insurance over what it had been three short years ago.

A Little Court Case Could Cause Huge Problems For ObamaCare | Stock News & Stock Market Analysis - IBD

Ruling Expected Soon On Little-Known Case That Could Cause Major Problems For ObamaCare

Under the law, ObamaCare’s premium subsidies are an entitlement, which means that the money needed to pay for them is appropriated automatically.
But Republicans in the House say that Congress must appropriate the cost-sharing subsidies each year. And, as IBD has reported, a good case can be made that they are right.

Huh. Thought that'd be a bigger deal. Sort of a giant shutdown of his landmark achievement and all.

Not a big deal, yet. It will be business as usual while the case works it's way up the appeals ladder. Nothing is going to change till it reaches SCOTUS and there's no guarantee that it won't be overturned there, either. They've already upheld it once, I don't see that they'll necessarily change their minds on this.
