NYPD to scan people on the street for guns

Seems like a good use of one's free time for those 'special' permit holders of NYC would be to spend it walking around in front of this thing to keep them hitting on 'false positives' to the point of rendering the system useless... If the majority of their hits were people legally carrying it would make it cost prohibitive to continue. Pisses me off almost as much as the groping and scanning by the TSA.

That's the really cool part of this technology - it will only detect illegal guns!! Cool!! Or maybe the illegal guns will glow red, and legal guns will glow green! Awesome!
