I'm a do-er. All these kids with screen time. Hate it. That's why he'll be at the M&S and soon his buddy once I know he follows the 4 rules. I have a goal of 4 new shooters a year. I consider this 1/2 my quota. He has a large buddy group, so I hope to expand. I may go broke on .22 and 9mm, but this is my goal.Kid still has strep, but he cheered in his teammates while I helped coach. Went to the Coulters pumpkin patch. Did a 4+ mile bike ride (50% offroad trails). Now to plant my rear in this recliner and football it up and watch leaves fall (currently blowing into the neighbor's yard with the NW wind).
I have my hands full with my own two little shooters……. But THEY are great ambassadors for the shooting sports and have gotten many other kids shooting. Not bad for a couple homeschool weirdos lolI'm a do-er. All these kids with screen time. Hate it. That's why he'll be at the M&S and soon his buddy once I know he follows the 4 rules. Only been there once but we liked it
This is our 2nd or 3rd? visit. It is small, completely run by volunteers, not kept up very well but it is great for younger kids. And given their very limited resources they actually do a really nice job. Just don't compare it to a government funded operation like Blackberry Farm Park in Aurora or the Illinois Train Museum. Hesston is run by dedicated enthusiasts and I give them a lot of credit for making do with what they got.Only been there once but we liked it
Yeah everyone was nice and the blacksmith shop is neat. I’m not a train guy so the Hesston one is enough for me.This is our 2nd or 3rd? visit. See you are being pulled around by the Shay steam engine. Many years ago remember seeing the Shay when it was put back in service after being rebuilt.
