I think their prices have about doubled in that past few years. I guess the price of everything has gone up. Seems like a burger used to be about $2.99 and fries were $1.49.
I sound like one of those old farts that say "I remember when a candy bar was a nickel..."
Most 'smoke shops' are staffed by 1 clerk and customers are in and out. At the cigar lounge we typically have small to large crowds, often armed, in the shop to accompany the clerks(s). I think the crowds make the lounge less of a target.
Shoops prices are out of control for the quality (or lack) of the food they serve.
I will glady pay $13.75 for a sunrise burger with fries at Gibson's, but that burnt grizzle they call a burger at Shoops at the $7.50 area with bacon and another $2.70 for fries? Keep it... blech.
