Take the card to CVS, use their machine, and burn a CD of your photos. Just make sure they use a 'plain' CD, and not one of those stupid Kodak CDs.

Thanks, but I would be happier if everything would work the way it's supposed to work.

Besides, I don't feel like going anywhere right now. I was looking forward to sitting down in front of a warm computer downloading some images and doing some creative editing. It's been a day full of little irritations. My wife said I was on the verge of going "Marine Corps" on the post office lady earlier today.

Now the stupid computer is telling me that the card reader isn't there. ... as a matter of fact ... oh never mind.

I think I will just go sit in the corner and scream into a pillow for a few minutes.

That is because your camera know it's in SJ and refuses to work right!

Show the camera your GLOCK and tell it (camera) that if you don't start working it's gonna be sorry. That may help.

It is (has been in the past) a simple operation. Make sure the camera is off and the memory card is inserted (done). Plug the USB cable into the camera (done). Plug the other end into the computer (done). Camera is supposed to turn on automatically and a screen pops up with your downloading options. Instead, my camera just sits there. Yes, I checked to make sure the batteries are fully charged. I even plugged it into the AC adapter. Nada ... nothing ... zilch. I went to My Computer and there's nothing there. Just for giggles, I hooked up my back-up drive and it shows up fine so I know the USB port is working.
