Just got back inside from helping the neighbor. His kid's truck slid off the driveway. 2WD. His drive slopes down and the rear wheels were off the driveway, front was still on. Got stuck sideways and blocked the driveway so my neighbor couldn't get out to go to work. With the blowing and drifting off the farm fields his driveway was completely impassible. Big drift around the kid's truck too. Cleared his drive and then hooked up a tow strap and pulled his truck up onto the driveway.

    I am such a humanitarian.

Broke a shear bolt on the snow blower. 3rd one I've broken this storm. Supposedly these are Grade 5 bolts. I don't think so. I'm guessing they are chinese knock offs/counterfeits.

Well, you really don't want those shear bolts to be too hard to break. Or the blower breaks, instead of the bolt.
Are you sure you're not catching something?

Pretty sure I got some substandard shear bolts from a discount store. Lesson learned.

Supposed to be Grade 5. Grade 8 will break blower or tractor parts but Grade 5 is the spec for my blower. I'll hit Tractor Supply and pick up a few that I know will work.

Granddaughter hit a drift and went off the road on 100S West of 2. Be careful on E/W roads as the snow drifts quickly where there is open terrain.
E/W roads are in horrible condition from the blowing and drifting. My neighbors with unprotected drives (no tree coverage) might as well just give up on plowing their drives.

Hopefully your granddaughter is OK and the car is OK too.

We can all fit in my wife's Chrysler 300. I drive it once in a while so I remember what a nice vehicle is like.
Oh, shoot! When you said threesome I thought we were taking your golf cart.

Rather than threesome, I might have said, Mini Me et & Eat

I'm sure glad I moved to Indiana, I don't know if I'd be able to deal with snow and ice falling into my brown eye.

Well, the snow blower works a LOT better now.
The gear selector rod should be attached better now. After going through half a dozen different options.
The auger control cable is tightened.

So, when I finished my drive, got the mailbox area, and made a path to the shed and garbage can, it didn't wipe me out like 2 days ago when I had to keep kicking the gear, and holding the auger cable.

    :woot:

One minor problem, 1st gear is sometime slow reverse, sometimes slow forward.
I just need to tweek it a bit. Later after I've rested again.
