Schoops is a diner, but it's a rip off.

I'd rather buy 2 whoppers from bk

    u uncultured redneck. :p
u cant compare bk to schoops.
at bk the cook takes frozen items or precut items and puts them together and heats some of them before putting together.

at schoops the cook has to actually prepare the items.
meat is prepared, veggies cut, etc.. in order to make most of the meals. at least the beef stuff. i think their chicken items are pre-done and they just warm up.

    :nono:
    restaurant
    n. A place where meals are served to the public.
    n. An establishment for the sale of refreshments, both food and drink; a place where meals are served; an eating-house.
    n. An eating house.

jedi thinks what she means is a place that serves you food but has a person attenting to you.

bascially at schoops u sit down, someone takes your order, they bring u food, they bring u more pop, they clean up after u.
its that service that jedi tjmhinks pinkdragon is saying is a resturant.

bk, mcd, wednys dont have that service.

So does white castle count on Valentine's day when they take reservations and have table service?

jedi would say so based on the definition jedi gave above.
pinkdragon may not agree due to the food.

full service resturant vs resturant is probably the right words.

Sounds like my granddaughter's logic. Words have meanings. We don't each get to define a word as we see fit.

per Google: "a place where people pay to sit and eat meals that are cooked and served on the premises."

Sounds pretty much like 'my' definition. Most fast food is neither cooked on premises nor 'served'.

Ask Google for restaurants near you and see what you get.

That is actually a terrible definition they list. There is a lot of food that is prepared that is not cooked.

As for served, just because they are not giving it to you at a table, does not mean you are not being served.
