I sleep with a noise machine that has thunderclaps mixed in with rain. I am never disturbed by fireworks once I fall asleep.

Being where you're at, you probably had an extra 30-45 minutes im guessing before rain hit you compared to Hobart. It unleashed here right about 8:30 or so. There's still people lighting em off right now. I'll stay dry and shoot em off within the next few days

The rain hit at about 930. I did chase the rain earlier in the day on the motorcycle. I went from Laporte to Chesterton got a few sprinkles, so headed west to portage, then Hobart, Crown Point, south to Lowell, back up through Valpo, through Chesterton again and then home.

if machine which one and why?

I use my old S4, The AP is Relax and Sleep. O have it plugged into a speaker system and a charger.

I also use it as an alarm clock and have the digital clock visible 24/7.

I have used a noise machine before, but they play a 10 second loop, that gets into my head and actually disturbs mu sleep. I can't detect any loop on the AP.

Yeah. Really sucks. Lightning strike was the cause. They lost everything, even their vehicles burned

Not sure on insurance. No lives lost that i know of. Heres a couple pics.
