Agree on the M-F part, although I could have used overtime, seeing how badly it often goes, I'm glad I don't get it.

I'm a wuss In my prime I was a 40 hour of VERY HARD work man, Never backed up to the pay table. Made decent money and was happy to spend time with my family.

With the knees It is very difficult to make 40 at 60, still squeaking by.

Well, the mill is famous for "feast or famine".
You have a lot of people wanting overtime, but their area has plenty of people, so they get none.
Then, there's areas like mine, where they say they have enough people, but then need to schedule so much overtime, that everyone is sick of it.

My VFW and My wife's business have agreed to again donate for the shirts. I also will throw in 20 which brings us to $140 so far.

ill stick with my M-F, 8-4:30 job

Yep, many many years ago I had a job as a computer operator for a company in Whiting. It was a 2 shift operation with myself and a gal. If one of us were sick or took vacation we had to double up on shifts. I remember working many 5 day, 16 hour shifts. Plus you might have to work overtime to make sure end of month reports were processed. By the time Friday came around you were ready for the week to be over. Don't miss those days
