    I always thought it would be good to take the family to the mill and let them see a furnace being tapped, or any hot strip or pickle line... Yes, this is where I go every day honey.

    I went to my uncle's when he worked at Weirton Steel in WV and got a behind the scenes tour. I can still remember the heat. We were up on a catwalk at one point and could feel the heat while a huge bar bounced off a roller up into a machine stopping everything. Those poor bastards whose job it was to fix it...whew! Of course, it was pointed out that's why they get paid the big money.

    Lol they made mention of it in last months heat stress safety video, but blew by it real fast, probably cause they aren't free. Love working for a billion dollar company.:):

    We just had a safety video last week and it was on heat stress and talked about cooling vests, the company wont pay for them. I am not sure they'd work very well in this hot of an environment.
