Summer Vacation in NORTHERN ENGLAND = temps hovering just north of 40 degrees F, winds blowing just about 40mph, and RAIN blowing sideways. We picked this week to hike across the countryside. Idiots. Idiots we are. But we trudge forward, into the prevailing westerly winds. 10 to 15 miles per day. Day after day. Rain or shine . . . wait, no sunshine, just Rain or Clouds.

Stop me from selling off half of my gun collection for a motorcycle... I want a dual sport (street legal dirt bike) to start on.

If you owned more expensive guns then you'd only have to sell off a tiny fraction of your gun collection to buy the bike :ar15:

Your right Bob. But I don't think I should sell off more than 1. I am thinking of putting together and "Ingo garage sale" with a little bit of everything. 1 gun, some ammo, a couple of optics, some AR accessories, some ZT Knives, a snowblower, an automatic fetch machine for a dog, some Antique Trunks from late 1800s / early 1900s (was into these for a while). New Sig brace, some magpul gen 3 magazines. Maybe some other stuff...

For an 06 looking at close to 1.4k for the unit and close to 2500total to do it or close to 4k for a trans which the 2 shops would recommend. Got a control valve and low pressure. In our situation it would be better to get a new car as I would have to do the timing belt as well because who knows when it was last done and its at 160k. The TDI i'm looking at just came down 4k so if we can get it for 12-13k our payments would be about equal to what we have now plus 12 miles vs 160k and a full warranty may be able to play around a bit and find a 3rd party extended warranty cheaper or up the maintenance coverage till at least 20-30k.
yep. At the point of diminishing returns with that unit. Probably time to let it go.
