Flores admits to brutal murder of sisters in Griffith to get life without parole

    :xmad::xmad::xmad:
This occured in Griffith, IN back in 2009. This
    smiley-talk034.gif
broken into the girls home after being in their once before and raped them, then cut their necks and then burned them!

He plead to 2 life sentences without parole instead of the death penalty. I'm sorry but you kill someone and admit to it and your life should also be terminated! Now for the rest of his life (he is 39) we will have to pay to support his life in prison. :xmad:

However, sadly, it would cost just as much (if not more) going through the appeals process for a death penalty case.

IMO - the Death Penalty would be the easy way out for him. I would much rather him sit in a jail cell and be made into someone's prison b*tch. But, I don't know, maybe the sicko would like it...:dunno:

If we read about this guy being allowed to have a cat and TV in his cell, then I will be really pissed.

Appeals for what! He confessed. Why a trial? He told them what he did, how he did it. Let someone do the same to him and be done with him.

The way it is now, criminals know that the system takes forever and can be played so they are not concerned with lossing their life.

Which is still cheaper than execution. Seems like we all win.

How? Cost of 1 .45 round = .50. Okay let say we use something bigger .50 how much? Line him up against a wall and have the firing squad fire away. Or the noose works as well. Rope is cheap too.

Look I did not know these girls but I'm just tired of all these criminals being treated better than the rest of us becuause they have rights and all. Yet you do a SD and expect to have the criminal book of law throw at you and then if you survive that wait until the civil one comes after you (out of your pocket)!

Ok let me go cool off a bit.

He admitted so he could avoid trial and the possible death penalty. If he was tried and sentenced to death, there would be no admission. Even if there was, there are basically mandatory appeals which many times cannot be waived. There is a reason that 8 years on death row is considered quick in many jurisdictions.

    GRAND TOTAL = $2,182,221.78

Why? :dunno: His life is worth 2.1 million? Really!

The cost to the taxpayers to try his case+appeals+house him on death row would easily exceed that.

I believe it was Morgan county that basically went bankrupt a few years ago when they tried a bunch of satanist murderers as death penalty cases.

I'm not saying he doesn't deserve the death penalty, he obviously does and I wish he was getting it. However, I don't think there is an economic argument there because life in prison will likely be cheaper.

I know hypotheticals about the cost of a round are fun, but we live in a country that guarantees the defendant certain proceedural rights before we kill them; this isn't China where you bill the parents for the round.

So we have a case where a fair trial is probably not going to happen, and they give the guy an opportunity to skate past the death penalty by signing a confession. Now, whether he's factually guilty or not, anyone would be a fool to not at least consider this option.

Are we really supposed to believe he won't get paroled at some time, say like in 25 years or so? Right after some parole board decides that he taught lots of inmates to mop a floor and now he's just a much better man then way way back when he was a double rapist and murderer?

You would probably think those appeals were OK if you wrongly got convicted of murder & sentenced to death. You know, like what could happen after your proverbial "SD".

Obviously, you're not going to admit to it if you're innocent, right? If you admit to it then the death penalty is off the table (if it's in the deal) but your appeals are curtailed. So you'll either be MURDERED by the state or you'll spend the rest of your life behind bars. Sounds like a wonderful () dilemna to be in if you are an innocent person, huh? Your automatic execution theory would stand the concept of "justice" on its head.

I think there should be a spot on your federal and state taxes for "Do you support the Death Penalty".....

For all those that select "No" they will be taxed to an ammount equal to the share of all inmates who have been convicted of capitol crimes yet plea out or are sentenced in non capitol punishment states spread across all of the citizens who selected "No".

For those of you who may not have followed, this means that all the "Don't kill them" people actually PAY for them not to be killed and the rest of us who say put 2$ worth of lead into them and be done with it, don't have to foot the bill!!!
