    Can't believe what people are paying over there. Values are going down and taxes are sky rocketing. People in condo and townhomes with NO land. It was a no brainer to move here. I also work in IL, downtown most of the time. So house with decent mortgage, nice yard, and lower property and sales taxes... I'm happy to commute.

    Property taxes there is enough to make anyone want to leave.

    As much as i hear some people hack on Indiana being a poor state and all they see is corn, we sure do have our good points that make peeps uproot and settle in.

    Unfortunately i have to stay near the border since my wife and i both work in Illinois....sheesh

    Welcome. I came from Michigan a year ago and felt lucky that I "only" had to register my handguns in MI. Had to take a class before getting a "permit" to carry. I REALLY like it here. :welcome:
