When I heard about the smell....I didn't really smell it, I joked: "sounds like a new guy just started at BP."

I'm better than I thought I was:

Officials believe they have found the source of the unusual odor spreading over multiple Indiana towns

The "unknown odor" prompted calls 911 calls from concerned residents throughout Porter, Lake and LaPorte counties, as well as other areas in and around northwest Indiana.

That happens frequently. The people in Whiting would often call in gas leaks so Nippy and the fire dept would be running from house to house all night because the odor would be coming up through the floor drains in their basement. I always thought they should drill a well in their yard and may find oil.

As a side note do not hesitate to call your gas company if you think an odor may be gas. Here's a relatively minor kaboom that
blew the doors, windows and eaves out and bulged some walls. I've seen CO detectors save many lives mostly during heating
season so make sure you have a working one.

Didn't your Mom ever tell you, "You'll feel better if you just get up and do SOMETHING." or a variation of that?

PS - don't take advice from the guy who just slept for 11 hours out of the last 16. I'm not even sure how I did that.
