    Illinois has probably gone metric. That's per liter.

    Prices are all over depending I suppose on delivery schedule. There's a difference of 60 cents between the two closest stations to me.

    Good morning all. Spent the weekend near Madison, Wisconsin with my son's family. Filled up the car on the way home near Rockford Illinois. How can gas be this much cheaper in freaking Illinois?

    Rural Illinois west of the Chicago metroplex (which includes a goodly portion of NW Indiana) is outside of the EPA's boutique fuels area that requires special blends of gasoline to be used for metro areas.

    I regularly fill my diesel vehicles in Illinois because its often 40 cents a gallon cheaper, than in Indiana, even very near Chiraq and typically see $3.79/gallon in the Chicago suburbs for diesel but $4.09 to $4.19 in NW Indiana.
