Both parties are out to run and destroy our lives. The only difference is the Republicans are doing it at 50mph and the dems at 150mph.

    SCREWED EITHER WAY

I heard someone say once " the only difference between the Democrats and the Republicans is it would take the Republicans 2 weeks longer to go total communist." Seems pretty true. Break the 2 (same) party grip. Vote your conscience, not the lesser of 2 evils! :patriot:

    Where's the bacon?
He truly is a disgrace!! He sent my wife and myself a packet, with a petition for his re-election campaign, saying we were "Friends of Lugar".

Let's see DICK! Hope one of your aids is reading this!! I shredded it, and I hope someone conservative, and NOT senile runs against you on the Republican ticket!! I'm tired of conservatives trying to make liberals happy!! Make us happy!!!

Hey, I got that, too. I liked the "petition to put him on the ballot".... I meant (but forgot) to call and ask them if we could file a petition to remove him from the ballot in perpetuity. Still might, but can't do it today or tomorrow.

I want to see a bill pass the legislature that allows us to recall an officeholder and replace him/her. (and I think there is one, actually, though I'll be surprised if it passes)

    Blessings,
    Bill

I just figured out top Lugar spokesman/advisor Mark Helmke is the brother of Paul Helmke the turn coat republican snake in the grass and handgun control inc mouth piece.
Wow this sheds new light on the situation. As if things are not clear enough about Lugar now we know this old mush head has team Brady campaign blowing in his ear.

Maybe we can talk Evan Bayh into coming back and running against Lugar....for the win!!!

Thus the problem with those who blindly support the R party no matter how terrible the choice.

As long as we cave to the fear tactic of "vote for the progressive masquerading as a republican or the DEM will win!!!!" then the progressives keep winning.

If Lugar is bad enough that most of us at least pause a moment and start comparing Lugar's record to Bayh's record (and most of us can't find any substantive difference in the two) - then it's time for Dick Lugar to leave.

IF he get the GOP nod - he will likely win again. And we'll have this exact same discussion in 6 years.

If we can force him (through voting) to retire even IF a dem replaces him, we still have a crappy 6 years - but we don't have the LUGAR big donor $$$$ machine to deal with in 6 years. End result - almost the same - with an JUNIOR incumbent senator instead of a political powerhouse to oust from office.

Dick Lugar is COUNTING on all of us lining up lockstep behind him in the General Election after he spends his huge war chest to trounce whatever candidate the TEA Parties in the state throw in front of him.

Are we that stupid? Why not just give the seat to him now and not challenge him, if we're just going to line up like good little kindergartners behind our benevolent overlord... er... Senator?

I ask again... if Lugar wins the primary on the GOP ticket... how many of you now calling for his defeat will vote for Lugar anyway, because he's better than the dem?

There are other candidates out there. You don't have to support them, but you can definitely consider them as a protest vote against progressives masquerading as Republicans

I won't vote for him again. I made that mistake on his last election but I won't repeat it in 2012. I didn't vote for Coats because he was "better than the Dem" and I won't vote for Lugar either.

Lugar HAS ALWAYS BEEN a left wing Marxist socialist sneak, playing the role of a conservative. He is by definition a Marxist or he wouldn't have been chosen to attend Rhodes University in Britain. They only select the best socialist candidates for that honor. Remember Uni-GOV?

He has been waiting in the wings for many years and now he has a full blown Marxist president to suck up to and lock step with. Watch out for that snake and his lies!

We should all remember Luger's response on this, when primary time comes around! He is getting old and losing his will. Yes, he is better than 90% of dems, but probably not better than a Tea Party candidate in a primary!

This is traitor talk for 2nd Amend supporters! It shows ignorance about firearms in genteral and the particulars of the Tuscon killings. It isn't the gun or the high cap mag. which does the killing! Multiple guns will always made for faster relaods, if banning hi-cap magazines is passed.

The gun and magazines are the easiest to target due to the cost. Re-tooling our entire mental health system, and passing laws to support this is a expensive and long process. Typical politician solution, take the easy road...not the right road!
