New TC encore 44mag barrel, or new H&R complete rifle for the same $$, what to do??

I've never seen any .44 mag Encore rifle barrels for sale.

It's a Pro-Hunter Stainless Steel 22" no iron sights. Not a Custom Shop barrel. They were made for a limited time.

Well... found an encore rifle barrel online that was in stock in 44mag. It's on the way to the house now and I'll report back once I have test fired it and zeroed the scope.

I actually got out and was able to shoot my new encore barrel last night. I am very pleased. Last night was more of a break in the barrel & sight in the scope kind of night, so I didn't try to go for distance and perfect accuracy. I just wanted to get some rounds through it. I was punching paper at 40 yards and it was punching bullets through the same hole, so I know it's going to be somewhat accurate. When I get a chance to try it out at 100 yards I'll make a little range report on how well the barrel shot.

You can't hunt with two guns at once. Get the TC barrel and be done with it..

i do? 357 gp100 with 180gr nosler partitons for up close and/or behind me shots and 77/44 for everything else. yet to shoot one with the hand gu though
