Both TOS and TNG were written for their respective audiences in the 60s and the 80s. I'll be curious to see what stories are written for today's audience.

Recipe for the new show's success:

    1. Lots of hot, green Orion chicks in scanty attire, preferably dancing seductively.
    2. See #1.

If this means I have to pay more on my already inflated satellite bill, I won't be watching. I remember back in the day that paying for TV shows meant I didn't have to be bothered with commercials. Now I have to pay and still be bothered with commercials. Of course at times the commercials are better than the shows...

Not sure how to feel about this...

    Ah... video on demand/digital subscription

Doesn't get better than TOS/TNG. Didn't watch anything after those.

What is the approx. "stardate" of the new series timeline?
I see mention of new characters but that's about it.

We cut the cable, in our case satellite, for the last time this past spring. We have over 500 dvds on hand which should keep us occupied until we get the tower and antenna up. Until then schoolwork every night until bedtime will have to suffice!

I can't believe this is not going to be on network TV.

Channel 4 CBS and DISH damn well better settle their differences before this show debuts. I have spoken!

I hear ya. If they keep up their pissing match we're going to be missing Lucifer and Gotham when they start back up. Fox and all the others under that umbrella need to get their **** together and stop trying to extort Dish customers.
