Finally found a S&W 22A locally that I could hold. Been considering it as one of my options to try steel challenges. Felt good as soon as I had it in my hands. Came with fibre front sight that was very easy for my aging eyes to pick up. So I pulled the trigger and added it to my small collection.

Heard it was more difficult to disassemble than others 22's (Mark III, etc.) but I did not think it was bad at all. No more difficult than my 1911. I wish I had more time this PM to take it our for a drive. But maybe next weekend.

Now to decide if I want to keep my M&P22 or sale it to cover the cost of this acquisition.

I'd say you will be happy with the smith. Mine has a couple thousand rds through it and very very few issues. Its a blast with a red dot on top.

I have had a 22S for 6 or so years now. Fun gun easy to field strip, accurate, and eats bulk ammo no problem. Have fun!
