I was wanting a longer barreled gun for home and IDPA. I was looking for a G34 but was not having any luck around here. I was also looking at the CZ phantom but just could not get used to the odd feel. It just didn't point well for me at all. May just be a GLOCK thing since I have been shooting nothing but GLOCKS lately. But it wasn't comfortable for me. Then they got a M&p 9 pro in. This fit the bill real nice. 5" barrel, fiber optic front sight and blacked out rear, good trigger at least as good as my G19 with 3.5 connector pointed well for me and was great to hold in the hand. The the 2 mag rebate sold me on it. I've got 500 rounds through it so far for break in with a few FTE so far, I blame that on the ammo. Shooting some light plinking loads. But no problems with mid to full power loads. Accuracy is great and the ergos are good. I have ordered a Com-Tac speed holster and mag pouches for it that should be here in a few weeks. OK here are some pics.

Even though the trigger is pretty good on the Pro Series, I would still recommend the $29 Apex Tactical sear upgrade. It is not only better than the Pro Series trigger, it is WAY better. One of the biggest improvements is that the Apex Tactical sear virtually eliminates overtravel. I upgraded all of my M&P's... Even the Pro's.

The rounded safety plunger helps emminsly as well.

Words cannot express my disappointment when I found out your thread title didn't mean what I wanted it to mean. That said, the Pro is an awesome pistol and handles great. My wife got one just before the rebate started so we lost out on that one, but I'm looking to get my hands on one of my own. Good find

Very nice! I like the pile of HP under it as well!

If I can get back to IPSC some day, I will try this against the Glock 34 I had dreamed of. It looks like a very good match and possibly a tiny bit thinner.

Slightly thinner yes and it does feel lighter as well. That pile of HP is just 700 of 3000. Too bad they're Raniers and not a true JHP.

I'm going to leave the trigger stock for now it actually feels pretty good and is getting better every time I fire it which has been everyday since I got it. I fired a regular FS 9 with the Apex parts you mention and I believe they are very comparable in feel but the Apex trigger did have a much more defined reset. So far the only complaint I have with it is that the reset is very vague. It may just be me having to get used to it but it is nowhere near the loud and easy to feel GLOCK and XD triggers I have become use to.
